The MK 47 was a project for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) which was part of a series to create operational, maintenance and troubleshooting information in an interactive format. These projects gave guided video instructions for all critical aspects of the weapons. Extensive photography was used to document features and processes. The user is guided by a voice-over for each step. The user is tested with a ‘drag and drop’ quiz at the end of each section.

Working in a team of three people, myself as the lead, we were able to accomplish:

  • Developed detailed storyboards
  • Captured all video, on-site photography and audio
  • Created a CD-based Flash application using Actionscript

The MK-47 was an enormous undertaking completed in short time frame. Additional challenges were

  • Stand-up a multimedia division near Crane Naval Base, Indiana
  • Purchase audio, video, photography/computer hardware and software
  • Trained two employees to use project software and hardware

Note: Due to security issues I cannot to post the interactive version.
