Open Cindy Sherman Site

This site is focused on the photographs of Cindy Sherman as they are published in her book, “Untitled Film Stills”. This project required several sections to the site and a gallery of images. I constructed the site to resemble a older style movie poster with Cindy as the starring role.

This is completely opposed to the context of the book since Cindy appears to envelope herself in a role for each photograph. Many of the photos resemble older black and white movies but without being exactly like them. I enjoy the book for the ambiguity and openness to interpretation that it invites and wanted to develop an interesting site that worked toward a similar goal.
